Joomla! 2.5 Beta2 修正了自 2011/12/23 (臺北時間) 釋出 Beta1 以來發現的 100 的問題，所使用的平台引擎「Joomla! Platform」也更新至 11.4。同樣的建議網友將此版本作為正式導入前的測試使用。以下列出 Joomla! 2.5 Beta2 與 Beta1 的新增功能：

在釋出程式的同時 Joomla! 主站也預告 Joomla! 2.5 GA 版將於臺北時間 2012/1/25 釋出，而 Joomla! 1.7 支援也將在臺北時間 2012/2/25 結束，要請使用 Joomla! 1.7 的站長們注意一下，Joomla! 2.5 雖有功能新增但在操作思維及擴充套件方面是相容的。
更新過後的 Joomla! 發佈時程陳列如下，日期以臺北時間為準：
- 2012/1/25：Joomla! 2.5 GA 版發佈，支援時間至 2013 年六月。
- 2012/2/25：Joomla! 1.7 支援結束。
- 2012 四月：Joomla! 1.5 支援結束。
